Hi everyone.
Where has the time gone? It’s already Spring time. It just seems that I’ve not been able to find time to write anything yet. I know we all lead busy lives and I appreciate that you’re all still here.
So here are a few news and updates:
Thank you all for helping me sharing birthday wishes to our family on our Facebook Page. I think it’s fun to have family acknowledge us on our birthdays and special moments.
Which brings me some sad news. On March 12, 2017, Brenda (daughter of Pauline Vinet Boyle) and Patrick Flavin lost their 13 year old son Joseph Boyle Flavin. He passed away in his sleep. Joseph was cremated in AIAin, UAE where the family will bring his ashes when they move to Nanaimo, BC this summer.
I’m slowly getting back into organizing mode for the next Vinet Family Reunion which will be in August 2018. I’ll be contacting those who shared with me an interest in helping me out. Last year, I had an amazing team and I’m so grateful for the help and support they provided. I’ve learned a lot from last year and will be putting that knowledge to good use.
I love seeing photos of the family and would love it if you can continue to share them with me so that I may do a second edition of the family book. Remember that the success of our event is a group effort.
