Telesphore and Gertrude (Morin) Vinet
Telesphore was born in Clarence Creek, ON Canada on February 11, 1893. He was the son of Avila Vinette and Exilia Noel. Before marrying his wife of 46 years, he traveled to Saskatchewan to find land that would support his new family. According to census records, Telesphore spent a few years near Bratt’s Lake in Saskatchewan before coming back to Rockland, ON.
On March 03, 1919, at St. Joseph Church in Orleans ON, Telesphore married Marie Louise Gertrude Morin, the 6th child of Frederick and Sara Morin. She was born on December 10th, 1898 near the village of Rockland, ON. The couple then moved out west soon after their marriage to start their new life as a farmer. During their 14 years in the Prairies, they raised their first seven children:

- Gerard
- Beatrice
- Jeannette
- Thelma
- Lucienne
- Leo
After some very difficult times during the Dust Bowl period, Telesphore moved his family back to Orleans, ON where they raised an addition five children:
- Noella
- Eugene
- Therese
- Jaqueline
- Claude
Finally, they moved to Richmond ON where they had four more children:
- Pauline
- Francoise
- Ernest
- Denise
Some of the memories shared by their children and grandchildren was how generous and love Telesphore and Gertrude were. They always had room at the table for anyone to share a meal with. Gertrude enjoyed her grandchildren and would spend hours playing cards.
Telesphore died on March 17, 1965 in Fallowfield, ON of prostate cancer.
Gertrude suffered of an enlarged thyroid (goiter). in her later years in life. She died in the hospital on June 01, 1967 in Ottawa.
